Reliance Jio has extended the latest date for the Jio Prime plan to April 15 against the original March 31 deadline, giving users 15 more days to sign up for the subscription plan.
The telecommunications upstart has also announced something it is calling Jio Summer Surprise, under which it is providing three months of free services to customers who subscribe to Rs. 99 Plan Jio Prime before April 15 and purchase a recharge of Rs. 303 (or higher value).
How to get Jio Summer Surprise offer
Jio has announced that every member of Jio Prime does a reload using Jio‘s Rs. 303 (or any of Jio‘s highest value plans) you will get an additional three months of free service. This means that if you buy Jio Prime membership and a Rs. 303 or higher by April 15, you can use the free Jio services until June, and paid plans will only begin in July.
If you have already subscribed to the Jio Prime plan and bought a refill, you will still receive the summer surprise with no further action. The company added that Jio‘s summer surprise is going to be just the first of “many” surprises for the leading members.
“Jio‘s free service period is coming to an end,” Ambani wrote. “Users who do not recharge on the extended date will experience degradation and/or interruption of services.” “In India, we have the fine tradition of shagun – offering gifts on auspicious occasions,” he added. “For us, your first recharge is an auspicious moment, therefore, we want to offer a taste of our appreciation – the Jio Summer Surprise .”
However, there is still no official word on whether the Buy One Get One offer, under which users can get up to 120GB of free 4G data for a year, will run through April 15. Therefore, presumably, only those who subscribe to Jio Prime for March 31 will get additional data.
